About The Event

Everyone has heard of Pilates.  We've seen it etched on the window of a trendy downtown studio space.  Or maybe you've seen, or tried a class on your favorite workout platform.  For many, the idea of participating in a Pilates program seems intimidating to say the least.  It doesnt have to be.  I have been incorporating Pilates principles into my prevention and rehabilitation programs for over 20 years.  During this interactive workshop you will learn the basic foundation principles of Joseph Pilates.  You will be able demonstrate your understanding of using ASL descripive language and clasifiers needed to assist when interpreting a pilates session.  In addition we will explore the value of using these basic principles in our everyday practice as interperters to improve and maintain mobility.  Together we will practice simple adapted movements, some of which  can be performed during the course of the average interpreter work day.  Minimal to no equipment needed to participate in session.  Discover how Pilates principles can change the way you move.  Participants will earn .2 CEUs in the area of PS.  Participants can attend the session live or enjoy the replay with quiz to be completed by Nov 30th.
