About The Event

Power posture is a buzz phrase in the world of popular social psychology.  In this exciting interactive workshop we work together to see how this powerful tool affects our role as interpreters on both a cognitive processing level, and our overall physicality.  Prepare to learn and move!  Have a space to move, along with an exercise mat if possible as there are several move lab components to this workshop.  Shoes not required!

Upon completion participants will understand the impact of posture on their cognitive process as an interpreter.  They will also learn how to initiate modifications to their practice to improve recall, problem solving, and increase use of space.  Participants will also be able to implement a continuous self care program based on materials provided.

This workshop is offered for ASL Interpreters.  Interpretek is an approved RID Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities. This Interpreter Wellness program is ofered for .3 CEUs at Professional Studies Content knowledge level.
